It was during this exam that a tumor was detected on her kidney. The diagnosis was renal cell carcinoma. Due to the size of the tumor, it was necessary to remove the entire kidney.
Step-by-Step Treatment
The surgery took place at the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk in November 2025. Justyna is currently undergoing immunotherapy; she travels every three weeks for her medication infusion and undergoes follow-up imaging tests every three months. This phase of treatment is scheduled for the coming months, after which the doctors will decide on the next steps. This is a time that requires consistency and patience, during which each trip for treatment usually takes up the entire day.

Justyna’s family—her husband and three children—helps her with her daily responsibilities and supports her.
