The diagnosis that changed everything
The first alarming symptoms—namely, weakness on the right side of the body, morning vomiting, and fatigue—appeared in the fall of 2020. In November, a CT scan performed at the University Hospital in Kraków revealed a tumor. Further tests and biopsies—the results of which were also consulted abroad—led to an accurate diagnosis: a rare brain and spinal cord tumor. Thus began little Bohdan’s long journey of treatment.
Years of intensive treatment
Bohdan underwent an exceptionally long and demanding course of treatment. Since late 2020, he has been receiving successive cycles of chemotherapy; however, follow-up tests repeatedly showed tumor progression, forcing doctors to change his treatment. In total, the boy has undergone more than thirty cycles of chemotherapy. Since October 2021, he has been receiving treatment at a renowned clinic in Rome, where he continues to undergo modern targeted therapy—a treatment tailored to the specific characteristics of his tumor, which offers hope for controlling the disease.
A disease that leaves its mark
Years of treatment have taken a serious toll on Bohdan’s body. The boy struggles with paralysis on the right side of his body and numerous complications resulting from his illness and intensive therapy, including vision problems and other conditions that require constant monitoring. Every day requires careful monitoring of his health and adapting the entire family’s life to his needs.
The family that is with him every day
Bohdan’s care is the responsibility of his parents, who share the duties and work together to look after their son. Their biggest daily challenge is ensuring he receives constant care and is kept safe, as well as coping with the unpredictability of his health condition. Despite these difficulties, his parents do everything they can to make Bohdan feel loved, safe, and cared for at every stage of his treatment.
A Boy with Passions
Despite everything, Bohdan remains a boy with a curiosity about the world. He loves programming, reading books, building with LEGO bricks, and playing Minecraft. It is these passions that remind us that behind the difficult diagnosis lies an ordinary, gifted boy.

The funds raised will be used to cover the costs of Bohdan’s medical treatment and daily care, specialized rehabilitation, transportation to hospitals and treatment centers, medical consultations, tests, and psychological support for the boy and his family.
