Breast cancer is not letting go❗ Aneta is not going to give up❗.

Key prevention

In July 2023, Aneta had a routine breast ultrasound. The result was normal, and there was no indication that just a month later her life would be so dramatically changed. In August, during daily care, she felt a small lump in her right breast. On September 6, she went again for an examination, which resulted in a referral for a biopsy.
A few days later came the results and the diagnosis - triple-negative breast cancer with metastasis to the lungs.

Already on October 9, she started the first chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy. Shortly thereafter , another one was included - the so-called "red" one, stronger, taxing on the body, but necessary to stop the progression of the disease. With each passing day, she felt her body weakening, but she did not let her hope falter. She kept repeating to herself that it was all temporary, that suffering was meaningful if it led to recovery.
She accepted each stage of treatment with humility and serenity, believing that this was the path that would lead her back to life.

Treatment is a process

On March 22, 2024, Aneta underwent breast-sparing surgery with removal of all lymph nodes under the armpit.
May brought radiation therapy - fifteen exposures and four boosters.
After they were completed, she continued immunotherapy and received oral chemotherapy, as the tumor had not fully responded to previous treatment.

In April 2025, she finished her therapy and for the first time in a long time felt that she was truly breathing. A month later, she celebrated her fiftieth birthday, which became a symbol of a new beginning and heralded a path where it was again possible to plan, dream and live without fear. This respite, however, did not last long.
An MRI in May broke the calm, bringing images of vague shadows in the lungs. CT and PET scans stripped away the illusions - the disease had returned and given metastasis to the lungs. On September 23 , doctors performed surgery to remove three tumors from the right lung. The histopathological result was conclusive.
In early October, Aneta began another chemotherapy treatment.

Strong despite it all

Every stage of this disease was a trial - not only for the body, but also for the psyche. Despite the exhaustion, pain and uncertainty, Aneta never allowed herself to lose hope. Although there were days when fatigue crushed her more than the disease, she never stopped believing that there was still much good ahead.

All the while, she tried to maintain the rhythm of daily life. She did not want the disease to define her life. She still worked, laughed - she was a support to her loved ones.
Today, despite the lack of effective treatments in Poland, Aneta and her family are looking for options abroad.
The first step is to perform molecular testing to select a targeted therapy effective against the aggressive form of cancer. This is a cost of about 30 thousand zlotys - a huge burden, but also an opportunity that cannot be ignored.

Life still has flavor and meaning

The disease has slowed down the pace of her life, but has not taken away its colors. Aneta is still able to enjoy everyday life - the smell of the forest, the autumn light, the tranquility of walks with her beloved dog Fuchsia.
She plays board games, reads books, breathes in silence. She knows that activity will return, that there will still be time for skiing, traveling and small dreams put aside "for later". Because life, despite everything, is still a value to her - the greatest one she has.
