It started with severe pain, bleeding, and symptoms I could no longer ignore. The tests led to a diagnosis: metastatic cancer. Today, I’ve undergone surgery, I’m dealing with inflammation, and I’m waiting to start chemotherapy.
The pain that wouldn't go away
In early January, I started experiencing severe pain. I felt it in my lower back, and it radiated to my right buttock. I also started experiencing vaginal bleeding and problems when using the restroom. I knew something very alarming was happening. I went to see doctors, and then the diagnostic process and treatment began in Łódź. The diagnosis was a huge blow to me: malignant squamous cell carcinoma of the vagina with keratinization and metastases to the buttock.
Treatments and complications
In early February 2026, I underwent surgery to remove the tumor. Biopsies were also taken from the tumor and the cervix, and an abrasion of the cervical canal and uterine cavity was performed. Unfortunately, further complications arose later. Starting in late March, it became necessary to incise fistulas and draining abscesses on my right buttock. In April, several attempts were made to clean the lesions, but the inflammation persisted. On April 20, 2026, I was taken to the operating room. The recurrent abscesses were removed, and a drain was inserted.
I'm waiting for chemotherapy
Right now, I go to the surgeon at the hospital every day to have my post-surgery wound cleaned. The doctors need to get the inflammation under control so I can start chemotherapy.
The treatment was postponed precisely because of the cysts, abscesses, and severe inflammation. It’s very difficult, because I know that time is of the essence, and my body is getting weaker and weaker.
In addition, I have systemic lupus erythematosus, advanced osteoarthritis in both knees, and tibial osteonecrosis. All of this makes it even harder for me to go about my daily life.
The illness robbed me of my independence
Before I got sick, I worked as a professional driver. Driving wasn’t just my job—it was a part of my life. I really enjoyed being on the road. I also loved the sea.
Today I had to quit my job. The pain, surgeries, medical procedures, and my weakened condition have left me unable to function normally. I often feel faint. Even preparing a meal or walking a few dozen meters has become a challenge. My life now revolves around home, the hospital, doctors, and yet another round of dressings.
Please support me
I am asking for your help with all my heart.
The funds raised will be used to cover the cost of medication, gauze, and wound dressings, as well as transportation to the hospital and doctors’ offices, a special diet, and basic living expenses. Because of my illness, I am unable to work, yet I still have to pay for my apartment, food, and everything else needed for my daily treatment.
