The disease came quietly

Beginning in March 2025, Teresa's body began to rebel. At first, there were the usual complaints, such as abdominal pains, a feeling of heaviness after meals and minor digestive problems. Nothing that caused more concern. Over time, however, the symptoms began to worsen. Diarrhea, constipation and a feeling of general discomfort became a daily occurrence. Over the months, vomiting, loss of appetite and increasing weakness joined in.

It took a long time for doctors to discover the cause of the malaise. The diagnosis was dramatic. Stage four pancreatic cancer with metastases to the liver, bone and peritoneum. The spread of the cancer was very extensive, and the disease was progressing rapidly. In an instant, everything that had previously been ordinary disappeared, giving way to fear and the struggle for each day.

Fight despite it all

Despite the severe diagnosis, Teresa immediately decided she would not give up. In July 2025, she began chemotherapy with the Folfox regimen. Seven courses of treatment are already behind her, and each successive course is proving more difficult than the last. The drugs, which are supposed to stop the progression of the disease, come with many side effects. Severe abdominal and back pain, dizziness, hand tremors, visual disturbances, declines in immunity and weight loss are occurring.

A weak body requires tremendous effort to get out of bed, and each day becomes a test of strength and perseverance. Teresa opens her eyes every morning with the thought that she must find some energy to smile at her children and exchange a few words with them. She sees hope in their gazes and it becomes her greatest medicine.

A home where love holds the world together

Teresa lives with her family in Kielce. She is cared for by her husband and children. Those closest to her do the shopping, cooking, cleaning and help with daily activities, as she no longer has the strength to leave the house on her own. Despite her weakness, warmth and gentleness can still be seen in her eyes. It's a look that says more than words and that gives her family the strength to keep fighting.

He has five children. Three adults and two younger ones, one of whom is only nine years old.

The youngest son often comes, sits by her bed and quietly says: "Mom, don't give up. I love you and I want you to live." Such words become the fuel that keeps her alive when all else fails.
Daily life in the shadow of illness

Cancer has changed everything. Since May, Teresa has been on sick leave. The disease has taken away her independence, but it hasn't taken away her dignity. Every day is a struggle against pain, against weakness and against the anxiety that comes at night when the house is plunged into silence. Medication and the presence of loved ones provide solace, but fatigue returns faster than peace.

She used to love cooking and creating decorations from simple things. Today, memories of past passions remind her that life can still have flavor and color. She still believes that the day will come when she will return to her small joys.

Support needed

Pancreatic cancer treatment is not only pain and suffering, but also a huge cost.Teresa needs medication, hygiene products, special nutrition, protein preparations and regular rehabilitation. Every transport to the hospital and every doctor's visit is another expense that exceeds the family's means.

The funds raised will allow the company to continue treatment, purchase necessary medications, provide care and a little peace of mind in the daily struggle with the disease. Every donation, regardless of the amount, becomes a gesture that makes a huge difference. It helps Teresa maintain hope and dignity in this difficult struggle.

True strength is not in the absence of weakness, but in getting up each day despite the pain. Teresa gets up because there are those beside her for whom it is worth it.
