Update
Oskar's treatment is ongoing
Oskar is currently undergoing treatment according to Protocol M. His daily routine consists of constant trips back to the clinic. When he is admitted to the ward, he is given chemotherapy around the clock. Then, over the next few days, the doctors wait for his body to flush it out. Her treatment doesn't stop when she's at home. Every day, she takes nine different medications and oral chemotherapy.![]()
Back on the road
The hardest part was when he stopped walking. That’s why every step today is a small victory. Thanks to physical therapy, Oskar is back on his feet. He still walks unsteadily and sometimes feels pain in his legs, but Children's need to move around is increasingly getting the better of them.![]()
A smile despite everything
There are days when the treatment really wears him out. There are also days when he wakes up with a smile and, despite all the difficulties, starts the day by playing. That’s exactly Moments like these remind us just how much strength a child can have. April 17, 2026

It wasn't "just" an infection
November weather is conducive to infections, especially in young children. A runny nose, weakness, a few days at home. Nothing that could foreshadow a tragedy. This was also the case with Oskar. Home treatment and attentive care from his parents meant that the symptoms passed.
At the same time, however, the boy began to limp on his left leg. It got worse day by day. His parents suspected a simple injury, but decided to consult a doctor to be sure. That same day, they received a call from the kindergarten. Oskar was unable to move on his own.

That was the first moment when fear gripped their throats. Waiting a week for an appointment with a pediatric orthopedist was out of the question. The parents didn't hesitate for a moment. They took their son to the hospital emergency room. From there, they were referred elsewhere. More doctors' offices. More doctors' glances, increasingly serious.
They spent the night of December 4-5 at the hospital in Legnica, where they were finally admitted for observation. A series of tests began. Blood count, chest ultrasound, and that was enough—suspected leukemia.
Transport to Cape of Good Hope
On December 5, Oskar was transported by medical transport to Przylądek Nadziei (Cape of Hope) in Wrocław. From that moment on, everything happened very quickly.
Tests. Puncture. More procedures whose names his parents had never heard of before. The diagnosis was clear: acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
On December 8, bone marrow was collected for further testing. Oskar immediately began preliminary chemotherapy treatment. He has already received his first doses. His small body has begun a fight for life that is sapping this little boy's strength day by day.
At this stage, it is not yet possible to clearly determine the further course of treatment. Everything depends on how Oskar's body responds to the first stage of chemotherapy.
The illness forced changes
Oskar's mother is constantly at the hospital. The fight for her son has forced her to put her entire life, including her career, on hold. His father, who would prefer not to leave his son for a moment, has to juggle work with trips to the hospital. At home, one-year-old Lenka is waiting. For her, the sudden absence of her mother and brother is particularly difficult.
Please help
The treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia involves long months of therapy, uncertainty, and fear. This fundraiser is not a request for comfort. It is a cry for a chance. For help in saving the life of a three-year-old boy who, not long ago, laughed carefree and was bursting with childlike energy.
