Disturbing symptoms

In January, my daughter Oliwia suddenly started feeling worse and worse. She was very weak and delirious. Petechiae appeared on her body, and her skin took on an alarming yellowish hue.

With every passing hour, her condition worsened until she finally lost consciousness.

Hospitalization

On January 25, she was admitted to the hospital for the first time. The fight for her health had begun. During her hospitalization, the doctors performed as many as 8 plasmapheresis procedures. Each passing day brought new challenges, uncertainty, and immense fear about what would happen next.

Since then, Oliwia has undergone many therapies. She also struggles with obesity and autism spectrum disorder, which make everyday life very challenging for her.

Difficult everyday life

Oliwia is at home right now, but our daily life is far from peaceful. Our lives are still marked by hospital visits, medical tests, and constant vigilance.

We go back for checkups regularly, during which Oliwia receives the drug Darzalex. Each time, this means a hospital stay and having to stay there overnight. It’s always a difficult time for us.

Every week, my daughter and I travel 230 kilometers one way. A journey that might seem like just an ordinary trip to others is, for us, another stage in our struggle. Every trip brings hope, but also exhaustion, stress, and silent prayers that everything will go smoothly.

Support

I’m with Oliwia all the time. I’m her primary caregiver, her source of support, and her safe haven through everything she’s going through. I hold her hand when she’s scared. I support her when she’s running out of strength. I try to be the pillar of strength she needs during these difficult moments.

Every day, I do everything I can to make her feel safe and loved.

Passions and Dreams

Oliwia has always loved to draw, and when she’s not drawing, she immerses herself in anime. There, she finds peace, but also inspiration: in stories about courage, friendship, and dreams that seem bigger than everyday life.

Japan holds a special place in her heart. It’s a country she reads about with unwavering curiosity.

We need your support

Today, however, her daily life is harder than she ever imagined. Oliwia is struggling with health issues that affect her strength, well-being, and ability to function normally. The costs associated with her treatment are very high.

Another component of the treatment is obesity management, which is crucial for improving my daughter’s health. One option is treatment with Wegovy, which can be an important part of the overall treatment process.

The hardest part is that every step forward comes with costs that are very difficult to bear, which is why I’m asking for your support for my daughter today.
