Dizziness and feeling unwell
It all started in 2016 with dizziness, feeling unwell, and trouble concentrating. As time went on, the symptoms got worse, and I felt a growing sense of anxiety and fear that I could no longer ignore.
When I went to see the doctor, I felt both hope and fear about what the results might be. Each subsequent test deepened my uncertainty, and waiting for the results was very emotionally taxing for me.
The hardest moment came after the imaging test. It was shortly after that that I heard the diagnosis: medulloblastoma.
Surgery, Treatment, and Recurrence
Shortly thereafter, I underwent surgery to remove a tumor in my cerebellum. I also began an exhausting course of treatment: chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It was a difficult time, filled with pain, uncertainty, and a struggle to make it through each day.
Over time, things began to settle down. I slowly regained my strength and hope that the worst was behind me. Unfortunately, last year I once again heard the diagnosis I feared most. The medulloblastoma had returned. It was already the third recurrence of the disease.
Second surgery
In 2025, I underwent another surgery, this time to remove a tumor in the frontal lobe. I also underwent proton therapy. Each stage of treatment required tremendous strength and determination on my part.
I underwent chemotherapy again this year.
Difficulties
This illness has changed my life in many ways. Today, I am unable to work, and even the simplest daily tasks can be a major challenge for me. My vision problems make it difficult for me to read, something that used to come naturally and required no effort.
It’s especially hard to come to terms with just how much I’ve had to leave behind. Before my illness, I loved to travel, explore new places, and enjoy the sense of freedom that traveling gave me. In quieter moments, I found joy in art classes, which allowed me to express myself and forget my everyday worries—if only for a moment.
Support
My fight for my health also involves enormous costs. Ongoing medical tests, medications, rehabilitation, and psychological support are essential for me to function as well as possible and regain my physical abilities. These are expenses that far exceed my financial means.
I cannot bear this burden on my own. That is why I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for support. Any help you can provide gives me a chance to continue my treatment and regain at least some of my former independence.
