Onset of illness
It all started in July 2025. After getting vaccinated, Nadia began to feel worse. She developed stomach problems and was extremely sleepy. We thought it was just a temporary reaction.
Over time, similar situations began to occur more and more frequently. Nadia’s hand began to tremble alarmingly, and she herself became increasingly apathetic. It became harder and harder for her to perform movements that had once come easily to her. Her coordination problems were even evident during training sessions, which had previously been a source of great joy for her.
The Fight for Nadia's Health
An MRI of her head revealed concerning findings. Some time later, we received the diagnosis that no parent ever wants to hear: diffuse high-grade pediatric glioblastoma. From that moment on, we devoted ourselves entirely to the fight for our daughter’s health.
Nadia underwent radiation therapy and chemotherapy in Warsaw. Today, she is continuing her treatment at the Immunotherapy Clinic in Germany. Once a month, we travel hundreds of kilometers so she can receive her next treatment. Each trip means several days away from home, enormous costs, and constant stress.
Family support
Nadia is homeschooled as part of an individualized education program. Her illness has made it impossible for her to live the life she had just a short time ago. She needs constant care, so my husband and I take turns working and staying by our daughter’s side so she’s never alone.
In these difficult times, Nadia’s grandmother and her 17-year-old brother have been a tremendous source of support for us. This illness has affected our entire family. Each of us is dealing with it differently, but we all share one thing: a deep love for Nadia and the belief that we will win this battle.
We need your support
Not long ago, Nadia couldn’t sit still. She loved sports, trained with dedication, and competed successfully. She adores math and explored the world with curiosity. Today, instead of planning her next competitions or school challenges, she has to deal with treatment, medical tests, and rehabilitation.
Treatment abroad and the necessary rehabilitation involve enormous expenses that are beyond our means. That is why we are asking for your help.
Every donation, every time you share our story, and every kind word gives Nadia a chance to continue her treatment. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the help you’ve given. To our daughter, it means the world.
