Update
Monika's battle with her illness continues every day. Although there are plenty of difficult moments, Monika never stops fighting.
Now another opportunity has arisen. Monika has the chance to consult with specialists and qualify for specialized treatment in Germany. This is a very important step that could pave the way for further therapy. This opportunity comes with enormous costs. Consultations, tests, treatment, and the necessary trips to Germany are beyond the financial means of Monika and her family. That is why we are once again asking for your support. Every donation, share, or kind word makes a huge difference—it brings Monika closer to her trip and gives her a chance to receive treatment abroad. We kindly ask for your continued support for Monika. We also want to thank you for all the help you've given so far and for standing by Monika on this difficult journey. July 7, 2026

First symptoms
It all started a few years ago. I was sleeping more than usual, I lacked energy, and I kept catching one cold after another. I told myself it was due to stress, exhaustion, and my daily responsibilities. I believed that a little rest would be enough to get everything back to normal.
Over time, however, I began to sense that there was more to it than that. One day, while performing a self-exam, I felt a concerning change in my breast. Fear struck me in an instant, but I still tried to drown it out with the hope that it wasn’t anything serious.
I made an appointment for an ultrasound. I remember the tension I felt while waiting for the results and the silence that fell over the exam room. That’s when I was told there was a tumor in my breast.
Treatment and surgery
Then came the diagnosis: a recurrence of breast cancer.
The doctors didn't delay in starting treatment. Chemotherapy turned out to be an extremely difficult experience. I could feel the disease and the treatment sapping my strength. I was very weak; I often lacked the energy even for the simplest daily activities.
During my treatment, I underwent two major surgeries. The first was a mastectomy. Then I had my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. This was the next step to help stop the disease and reduce the risk of further metastases.
Metastases
Just when it seemed like the worst was behind me, I received another devastating piece of news at the end of last year. Tests revealed that the cancer had metastasized to the upper lymph nodes and the left lung.
Today, I’m struggling with neuropathy and a severely weakened immune system, which are the result of a long and exhausting course of treatment. Every day brings new challenges, but my immediate family is a tremendous source of support for me, and thanks to them, I haven’t lost hope.
Help
Before I got sick, I loved rollerblading and biking. Today, I dream of regaining my strength and enjoying life again without pain or limitations.
To help my body continue the fight, I need to purchase a molecular hydrogen generator. Unfortunately, the costs associated with the treatment are very high and exceed my financial means.
That is why I am asking for your support with all my heart. Every bit of help gives me a chance to keep fighting and hope for a better tomorrow.
