Maja is struggling to get back into shape after surgery to remove her spleen and liver flap❗. Maja is stepping forward confidently and going through another challenging medical procedure! Last month, on July 4, 2024 to be exact, she underwent a splenectomy, or spleen removal surgery. In the case of our Warrior, five spleens and an additional lobe of the liver were removed. Unfortunately, it was not without complications. The surgery resulted in severe internal bleeding, which fortunately was brought under control. Majka's results are improving, although she is still under the constant care of the hematology clinic. In September, she and Mom will go for a check-up with a cardiologist. During them there is to be a consultation with cardiac surgeons as to whether valve surgery in our little Warrior's heart is urgent or can still wait. "Slowly everything is going in the right direction. Maja is a strong girl. We send our love along with Maja!" - Maja's mom Maja's treatment is moving in the desired direction, but there is still a long way to go for our fearless Warrior to recover from the disease. Diagnostics showed no cancerous changes in the girl's body, which is great news. After clinical treatment, she will have to wait for long-term rehabilitation, without which she won't be able to make up for the damage caused by months of hospital stays. We encourage you wholeheartedly to support our charge's fight in this extremely uneven battle! August 12, 2024

In the first half of 2023, Mai was diagnosed with dangerous thrombocytopenia during an examination for a planned oral cavity sanitation.
After a week's stay in a Legnica hospital, the girl was referred to the "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw.
As of June 2, 2023, he is undergoing tests to confirm suspected malignant tumors. Various biopsies, bone marrow trepanobiopsies and biopsies of lymph nodes in the abdominal aorta area, which are still enlarged, have already been performed.
Fortunately, they did not show anything abnormal, although they also did not explain their abnormal enlargement. Maja also underwent a PET scan and CT scans, which also did not allow doctors to make a diagnosis. On examination, the girl was diagnosed with endocarditis. It was necessary to be hospitalized in the children's cardiology department at another hospital. During the prolonged treatment, the valves in Majka's heart were damaged. There is no doubt that valve surgery will be necessary, but before that the girl must be diagnosed at the "Cape of Hope".
Maja is always smiling, very cheerful and positive to everyone she meets. Her sincere smile has improved many a day. There are still many difficult moments ahead for the girl and her mother, but every battle is worth winning so that Maja's face beams with joy.
