Earache
It all started in February with my son Krystian having a simple earache. I was sure it was just a common infection, that we’d be given some ear drops or pills for it, and that we’d quickly get back to our normal routine.
The doctor listened to my concerns and examined my son. However, while examining his ear, he seemed unusually serious; he was quiet and very focused. That worried me a little. A moment later, he shared his concerns with me and ordered a number of specialized tests.
Shortly afterward, I heard my son’s diagnosis: a malignant tumor—sarcoma. At that moment, my world came to a standstill. Time seemed to stop, and I couldn’t believe what I had just heard. My head was filled with thousands of questions that no one could answer right away. I felt immense fear, helplessness, and despair.
Operation
At the end of March, Krystian underwent surgery to remove a tumor from his right auricle. However, despite this and the chemotherapy treatment he received, the disease persisted. Lesions also appeared in my son’s lymph nodes.
We are currently waiting for the biopsy results. This is one of the most difficult experiences we have ever had to go through. Every day of waiting seems to drag on forever, and every moment is filled with fear and uncertainty.
Fear and Uncertainty
Since birth, Krystian has faced many diagnoses. In 2022, he was diagnosed with speech and language aphasia and hyperkinetic disorders. Later, he was diagnosed with autism.
Each new diagnosis was a huge challenge for me and Krystian’s dad, and it required us to adjust to a completely new reality. We were filled with fear, uncertainty, and many questions about our son’s future.
Soccer
Krystian is very energetic and funny. He loves soccer, which gives him a sense of fulfillment. His dream is to become a soccer player one day. He proudly wears jerseys with the names of his favorite players and collects soccer cards. His older brother often joins him when he plays soccer.
We need your support
All of the costs associated with Krystian’s treatment exceed our financial means. We now know that without the support of kind-hearted people, we will not be able to provide Krystian with everything he needs in this extremely difficult battle, which is why we are asking you from the bottom of our hearts to support our fundraiser.
Every bit of help, every kind word, and every share means a lot to us.
