"What I fear most is what lies ahead and the fact that I may be left completely alone with it."
Onset of illness

Abnormal ectopic bleeding was the first sign that caused concern, but it did not yet reach the level of fear that comes with a terminal diagnosis. However, it grew with each passing day as the symptoms began to intensify.
Everyday life gradually began to crack under the weight of unanswered questions. All of this was still anchored in a life that seemed orderly, running at its own pace, drowning out the threat and providing brief moments of oblivion. Until the time came.

The moment came when this everyday life began to change, leading to a point that irrevocably sealed it in the pages of medical history, with no possibility of returning to what had been before.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis of endometrial cancer shook Kasia's world. The diagnosis brought no relief, but opened up a space filled with fear, where each subsequent test brings more anxiety than the previous one. Waiting for the doctor's words is like holding your breath, and the silence after they are spoken is even more difficult to bear.

"I'm waiting for the results and I don't know if I have the right to make plans for tomorrow."
Treatments and the first signs of the disease

In December 2025, Katarzyna was admitted to the gynecology ward of the Mazovian Specialist Hospital, where she underwent a curettage of the uterine cavity and a sample was taken for histopathological examination. This was the beginning of intensive diagnostics, which very quickly ceased to concern only one area of the body.

A few weeks later, she suffered a fracture of the humerus shaft. It was a pathological fracture that required surgical fixation and at the same time presented Katarzyna with another devastating question about the possible spread of the disease to her bones.

Treatment and suspension

Katarzyna is currently undergoing diagnostic tests. This is a particularly difficult time, full of uncertainty and limbo, with no clear treatment plan yet in place and each day bringing new worrying symptoms.

Fear grows and paralyzes you, and there is no one around to share it with. Facing such a burden alone causes your thoughts to race uncontrollably, fueling a spiral of fear that gives you no respite. This is the moment when fear does not subside. On the contrary, it grows stronger with each passing day.

Everyday life with anxiety

Every day , Kasia makes an effort to overcome her weaknesses, face her fears, and cope with responsibilities that used to be a natural part of her life but now have become challenges that rob her of her sense of agency and security.

Illness forces you to constantly confront the limitations of your own body. However, sometimes it is not the body that is most tired, but the mind, and this fatigue grows with every sleepless night.

Work and anxiety about the future

In the life of a person suffering from cancer, there often comes a moment when, despite their best intentions and efforts, there is no longer any room for professional activity. Treatment, tests, consultations, and hospitalizations fill almost entire days, pushing work into the background.

This was also the case with Kasia. She is currently unable to work, and the specter of confirmation that the disease has spread to her bones brings with it the fear that a return to professional activity may never be possible. This question is followed by another: what next? And immediately after that, fear, frustration, and regret return, which are difficult to name and even more difficult to bear.

Let's help Kasia in her difficult everyday life

Every bit of help matters. Eachgesture is likea silent sign of closeness, telling her to focus on treatment and recovery without worrying about anything else. For Kasia, such help is invaluable and extremely necessary today.
