Drama recorded in symptoms
It started with increasing abdominal pain, the distention of which, day by day, began to increase. Finally, ascites appeared - the first serious sign that something very wrong was happening in Justyna's body. Tests showed a dramatic and illusion-free diagnosis, which became the beginning of a dramatic battle.
Cancer - an uninvited guest
Malignant tumor of the ovary - code C56, stage III with distant metastasis - that was the diagnosis.
Cancer, complications from chemotherapy, daily life in pain and anxiety. Justyna fights for each day with her children.
On October 8, 2024, Justina was brought to the Clinical Oncology Gynecology Department, where a radical hysterectomy was performed and the larger network was removed. Although the operation saved her life, it did not end the disease. Further therapy was needed.
Treatment and its price
After the operation, chemotherapy was started. It ended with a serious complication - peripheral neuropathy, which to this day limits free movement. Justyna is currently taking the drug Olaparib - a therapy scheduled for the next two years. Each pill is a chance to stop the disease, but also a source of further side effects that drain her strength and deepen her suffering. Despite everything, Justyna does not give up and bravely fights every day for herself and her children.
Daily life marked by struggle
Illness has turned Justyna's life upside down. Her employer terminated her contract, and she - now on rehabilitation benefits - is trying to cope with everyday life as an independent mother of three school-age children. Her neuropathy limits her freedom of movement, and her inability to work creates anxiety about the future. On top of that, daily chores have now become an almost unattainable challenge.
A woman of many passions
Despite her illness, Justyna still remains herself - a joyful and optimistic woman. She loves to cook, is interested in psychology, especially issues of personality disorders, and in her free time sits down at the piano to rediscover peace and hope in the sounds.
