Onset of illness
The first symptom of my illness was epilepsy and a loss of consciousness. It all happened suddenly, without warning. That moment changed everything and marked the beginning of a journey I was never ready for.
Shortly thereafter, I underwent a thorough diagnostic workup. Tests, imaging, and consultations with doctors. With each new piece of information, reality became increasingly difficult to accept. I was given the diagnosis: stage IV malignant brain tumor.
Treatment and surgery
I've undergone three surgeries and radiation therapy. These were challenges that demanded more from me than I could ever have imagined.
Today, I am continuing my treatment at the IOZK Immuno-Oncology Center in Cologne, Germany. This is the next stage of my journey—one filled with uncertainty, but also with hope for continuing the fight. At the same time, I am undergoing chemotherapy.
Difficulties
Living with a brain tumor has forced me to completely reorganize my daily life. Nothing is the way it used to be; even the simplest things now require more strength, attention, and planning on my part.
The hardest part is the sudden mood swings that come on without warning and can throw me off balance in an instant. On top of that, there’s the constant fear of epileptic seizures.
I’m also struggling with immense stress and chronic fatigue that doesn’t go away even after resting. This fatigue is different from the usual kind: it’s deep, overwhelming—the kind that makes even the simplest tasks feel like a challenge at times.
Ordinary Days
I’m a mom of three, and every day I try to make sure our home stays “normal”—that there are breakfasts, conversations, chores, and laughter—even though my own struggle is constantly playing out in the background. I try to be there for them as much as I possibly can, even if my strength doesn’t always keep up with my intentions.
Before I got sick, my greatest passions were sports and dance. They set the rhythm of my life. They gave me energy and freedom. Movement was my way of expressing myself.
I need some help
The funds raised through this fundraiser will be used to cover the cost of expensive treatment abroad and all related expenses. This is my chance to continue my treatment and keep fighting for my health.
I would really appreciate your support. Any help means a great deal to me.
