Support for Berry on the road to recovery

Jagoda is a 21-year-old third-year student at the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice.

Soldier of the 13th Silesian Brigade of Territorial Defense. Always full of energy and a smile, she loves traveling and is eager to get involved in helping others. Recently, however, her life changed dramatically - she had to face a rare brain tumor.

During a student camp in Masuria, a severe headache led to unconsciousness. On September 3, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor, which, although successful, left Jagoda with serious challenges: right-sided hemiparesis and difficulty speaking. Neurosurgeons described the surgery as very complicated, but now Jagoda is valiantly fighting to return to full function.

Thanks to intensive 3-month therapy, Berry is slowly regaining fitness

He is beginning to walk independently, maintains an upright position, his hand is also gradually responding, and his speech is improving. However, rehabilitation is long and expensive. Neurorehabilitation is still needed. He also requires the support of a neurologist, psychologist, mental therapy and medication. The family, despite the work of both parents in state institutions, has already exhausted its savings. The costs are enormous, and the recovery process may take several years.
