Update

Dominika has already had an intensive phase of treatment - she completed immunotherapy and radiation therapy, and underwent major surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes, which was one of the doctors' recommendations in her situation. After completing a cycle of immunotherapy, she began another form of therapy - zoledronic acid infusions. This treatment is designed to strengthen bone structure and minimize the risk of future metastases. The infusions will be administered once every three months for the next two years. At the same time, our client is also receiving maintenance chemotherapy in pill form. This is a stage that aims to consolidate the effects of the treatment so far and prevent relapse. The treatment will last for a year. Unfortunately, like most intensive cancer therapies, it also comes with unpleasant side effects - fatigue, pain or lowered mood. Despite this, Dominika does not lose her determination. We believe that with each passing day she is getting closer to overcoming the disease. She still has many challenges ahead of her, but also, we hope, a peaceful and healthy future. May 6, 2025

Explore the history of

After starting chemotherapy and genetic testing, it turned out that the genetic load of the BRCA1 gene, which is responsible for the high probability of breast and ovarian cancer, was behind the disease.

Our client is after a double mastectomy with reconstruction and venous-lymphatic anastomosis. The dexterity in her right arm has been severely affected, and she will need to wear a specialized compression sleeve and perform lymphatic drainage for the rest of her life.

Dominika is undergoing immunotherapy, she is also facing radiation therapy, which will last a month, and further treatment will require removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes, followed by follow-up chemotherapy in tablets, to be given for a year due to the fact that the chemotherapy given intravenously did not quite work properly on the lesions in the lymph nodes.

All the costs associated with recovery are very high, travel to the hospital, medical consultations, rehabilitation, medication, proper diet and supplementation.

We encourage you to support Dominica financially, every contribution can bring her closer to recovery and her beloved work with children, to help others in need. And also to raise her two wonderful daughters.
