Years of battling an illness that won't let up
Dawid was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the left lung 11 years ago. Surgery and six cycles of chemotherapy gave him some respite. Unfortunately, it was only temporary.
In 2016, the disease returned. This time , another operation was necessary, involving not only the lungs, but also the ribs and chest wall. Dawid underwent chemotherapy again, facing what had become a painful repetition in his life: diagnosis, treatment, weakness, and an attempt to return to normalcy.
Today, after years of struggle, he is once again standing at the same crossroads. G2 colon cancer has been detected in his body. The date of the operation, on which further treatment, including planned postoperative chemotherapy, will depend, has been set for December 17, 2025.
Weakened by years of treatment
Dawid is not only struggling with cancer. His daily life is also complicated by a number of comorbidities: COPD, hypertension, diabetes, and bipolar disorder. These conditions affect every aspect of his life and are important to consider when planning his treatment.
With each passing year, it becomes more difficult for him to function independently. He requires care, support in daily activities, and constant access to medical consultations, the cost of which significantly exceeds his means.
Weakness, fear of the future, and a growing sense of helplessness accompany Dawid every day. The biggest challenge is to obtain money for medication, transportation, and private psychiatric and psychological visits, without which he is unable to function in the face of further diagnoses.
David's financial situation is difficult, and the coming months will bring even greater expenses related to cancer treatment. He needs our support to get through this stage.
Every donation will be a relief for him, giving him the opportunity to continue his treatment.
