Daniel is only 35 years old. Not long ago, his life seemed completely normal. Work, family, trips together, and a passion for cars were the everyday life he simply cherished. Today, instead of plans for the future, there is fear of further metastases, more oncology checkups, and a constant fight for his life. Cancer has robbed him of his health, his sense of security, and the ability to function normally.
The diagnosis that changed everything
In April 2025, Daniel received his diagnosis: advanced medullary thyroid cancer with extensive metastasis to the lymph nodes of the neck and upper mediastinum. The disease was already very advanced and had spread to numerous lymph nodes. It was a moment that completely changed Daniel’s life and that of his loved ones.
From that moment on, my daily life revolved around hospitals, tests, and treatment. I was overwhelmed by stress, uncertainty, and fear for the future. The hardest part, however, was that the disease never gave me any peace of mind. Every follow-up appointment brought with it the fear of further metastases.
Hours-long surgeries and grueling treatments
In August 2025, Daniel underwent a very serious surgery lasting about eight hours to remove the left lobe of his thyroid gland and the lymph nodes on the left side of his neck. He spent 13 days in the hospital following the procedure.

But that wasn’t the end of the battle. In November, another surgery was necessary to remove the second lobe of the thyroid gland and the remaining central lymph nodes. Daniel then began radiation therapy at the oncology clinic in Gliwice. The treatment lasted over three months and consisted of 35 sessions. Despite such intensive treatment, Daniel remains under the constant supervision of oncologists and still requires further treatment and regular medical checkups.
The illness robbed him of a normal life
The cancer has completely changed Daniel’s daily life. He hasn’t been able to return to work for the past year and a half. He currently relies solely on a disability benefit that amounts to about 70% of the minimum wage. Every month brings immense stress related to the cost of living, medical treatment, and travel to hospitals.
On top of that, there are additional health issues and hematological treatments related to the large volume of blood in his body. Daniel’s body is exhausted from the long battle with the disease. The hardest part, however, is living with constant stress and uncertainty. Daniel admits that his biggest challenge today is the fear of another metastasis.
He would still like to return to his normal life
Before his illness, Daniel loved cars and family outings. Today, he has had to put many of these things aside. His illness means he must devote all his energy and strength to fighting for his health. The funds raised will help cover the costs of medication, rehabilitation, private doctor visits, travel to hospitals, and daily expenses, which have become a huge burden in his current situation. Please support Daniel. Every donation provides real help for his ongoing treatment and gives him a chance to fight for his health with greater peace of mind and to regain at least a part of his former life.
