Krzysztof has always been a man who valued a peaceful daily life, family, and being close to nature. What brought him the most joy was spending time with his grandchildren, sharing moments with his loved ones, and simply living life at a leisurely pace. Today, his daily life looks completely different. A debilitating cancer has robbed him of his strength, his ability to work, and his sense of security. Every day has become a struggle against pain, weakness, and immense uncertainty about the future.
His body began to weaken rapidly
The first symptoms appeared suddenly. Krzysztof began to lose his appetite, lost weight very quickly, and grew weaker with each passing week. Further tests revealed a devastating diagnosis: widespread sigmoid colon cancer that had invaded the peritoneum and the bladder, as well as metastases to the liver. It was a huge blow to the entire family and the beginning of a very difficult fight for Krzysztof’s health and life.
Surgery and difficult treatment
On March 19, 2026, surgery to remove a section of the large intestine was performed at the Specialist Hospital in Chojnice. Following the procedure, chemotherapy began, administered in cycles lasting several days. The family is still awaiting further decisions from the doctors regarding the next stages of treatment and options for further therapy.
Cancer and its treatment take a heavy toll on the body. Krzysztof struggles with rapid fatigue, difficulty maintaining a proper diet, and the urge to vomit, which occurs even while he is eating. His daily life has become a struggle to get through each new day.
His family is standing by him
Krzysztof is currently at home under the care of his wife, who devotes practically all her time to him. His sons and siblings help arrange transportation to the hospital, medical tests, and subsequent rounds of chemotherapy. His loved ones are doing their best to provide him with the best possible care and a sense of security, despite the immense stress and uncertainty.
The illness has also had a severe impact on the family’s financial situation. Krzysztof was the family’s main breadwinner, but he is currently unable to work. His wife is also unable to work because caring for her husband on a daily basis requires her constant presence.
His loved ones are his greatest source of strength
Despite being extremely weak, Krzysztof tries to keep fighting every day. His greatest motivation remains his family, his grandchildren, and the hope that treatment will halt the progression of the disease. Before his illness, he loved cycling and spending time in nature. Today, his greatest wish is for a more peaceful daily life, free from pain and fear of the future.
The funds raised will be used to cover transportation costs for medical tests and chemotherapy, non-reimbursable medications, and the family’s ongoing living expenses during treatment.
