My name is Bogdan. I am a husband and father who loves his family with all his heart.
I’ve always been the one to help others—neighbors, friends, anyone who needed support.
I never imagined that the day would come when I would be the one asking for help, fighting for the most important thing of all—my life.
My story began innocently
In June 2022, I noticed blood in my urine. This minor but concerning incident prompted me to see a doctor immediately.
After a series of tests, I received a diagnosis that turned my world upside down: high-grade urothelial bladder cancer.
Ever since then, my life has been a constant struggle
I started chemotherapy, but it had to be stopped due to my deteriorating kidney function. Shortly thereafter, I underwent a radical cystoprostatectomy with urinary diversion via bilateral ureterocutaneostomies. It was a difficult but necessary step that offered hope.

Unfortunately, the disease didn’t let up. Over time, more metastases appeared—in the bones, spine, shoulder blades, and hips. I underwent numerous cycles of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, vertebral augmentation procedures, and interventions related to bone involvement. Each test brought new information that no one would want to hear.
Neurological symptoms also appeared—increasing pain, numbness in the legs, and difficulty moving.
I had to give up my job—my beloved carpentry. The smell of wood, the sound of tools, those moments of focus that gave me a sense of purpose. It wasn’t just a job; it was a part of me.
I'm still undergoing treatment
Despite the doctors’ tremendous efforts, the treatment I’m receiving in Poland isn’t stopping the disease. High blood pressure and kidney failure further limit my treatment options. With each passing month, I feel the cancer sapping my strength and mobility… but there’s one thing it can’t take away from me—hope.
Despite everything, I'm not giving up. I still have hope, because there's now a chance to undergo modern treatment abroad that's specifically designed for my type of cancer.
According to the doctors, this is a real chance to stop the disease—perhaps the last one I have left
Unfortunately, the cost is beyond our means. That is why I am turning to you—people with big hearts.
I need your support so that I can continue fighting for each new day with my family.
I want to be the one who helps others again… but first, I have to beat this disease myself.
