Not long ago, Bartek was juggling his master’s degree, his job, and his greatest passions: motorcycles, sports, and travel. Today, most of his daily life is consumed by his battle with cancer and the grueling chemotherapy. The disease struck suddenly and, in a very short time, robbed him of his ability to function normally. Despite this, Bartek refuses to give up and is doing everything he can to return to the life he had just begun to build.
The worrying symptom turned out to be cancer
In early 2026, Bartek noticed swelling and discomfort in his right testicle. At first, it was hard to believe that such a serious illness could be behind this symptom. On February 11, 2026, he went to a private clinic. Tests confirmed the devastating diagnosis: stage III testicular cancer with metastases to the retroperitoneal lymph nodes. For a young man just entering adulthood, it was a tremendous shock.
Surgery and intensive treatment
On February 17, 2026, Bartek underwent surgery to remove his right testicle. Shortly thereafter, he began a very intensive course of chemotherapy following the BEP protocol. He is currently in the middle of the second of four planned treatment cycles.
Chemotherapy takes a heavy toll on the body. It causes weakness, nausea, an increased risk of infection, and neutropenia, which means that even a simple cold can pose a serious threat. Every day is a struggle not only against the disease, but also against the side effects of treatment.
The illness brought his life to a halt
The cancer has completely changed Bartek’s daily life. He had to quit his job, and continuing his full-time studies became a huge challenge. He is currently pursuing a personalized learning plan, trying to balance his treatment with his education and daily life.
The hardest parts are the side effects of treatment, frequent hospital visits, and the stress caused by uncertainty about the future. Despite being extremely weak, Bartek tries to stay motivated to fight and believes he will recover. His parents and girlfriend are a huge source of support, helping him both emotionally and with managing his daily life during treatment.
The automotive world gave him a sense of freedom
Before his illness, Bartek loved motorcycles—both sport bikes and dirt bikes. Riding brought him immense joy and a sense of freedom. Travel, sports, and a healthy lifestyle also played an important role in his life. Today, his greatest goal is to regain his health and return to the normal daily life of a young man.
The funds raised will be used to cover the cost of medication, medical tests, transportation to the hospital, and basic living expenses, including room and board during his treatment. We ask for your support for Bartek. Every contribution gives him a better chance at a more peaceful treatment process, the opportunity to continue his studies, and the chance to fight for the future that his illness suddenly tried to take away from him.
