The Fight Against Lymphoma

It all began in 2024, when I heard my daughter Anetka’s diagnosis: lymphoma. It was a time that’s hard to put into words. Hospital hallways became part of our daily routine, test results set the rhythm of our days, and every visit to the doctor brought both hope and fear. After a long and exhausting battle, however, relief finally came—we managed to beat the disease.

For a while, life slowly began to return to normal. Checkups every 2 or 3 months became just a routine, and a sense of hope took root in my heart that the worst was behind us.

Another diagnosis

Unfortunately, something alarming came up during my daughter’s checkup in May. The tests revealed an abnormality, and then came another diagnosis: acute myeloid leukemia. My world came to a standstill once again.

Anetka was rushed from Lublin to Wrocław, to Przylądek Nadziei, where her next round of treatment began. Today, her daily life consists of hospital rooms, medical procedures, and waiting for each next step in her treatment.

A difficult time

She’s not alone in all this. I’m here with her, as is her grandmother, who gives her strength through her presence and calm demeanor. At home, her sister—who is very close to Anetka—is waiting. They share a special bond. Their conversations, the moments they spent together, and their daily lives were suddenly cut short, and longing has become a part of every day.

Our family has been through a lot. In 2023, the girls' mother passed away after battling cancer.

Small Joys

Despite her illness, Anetka still finds little sparks of teenage joy within herself. She enjoys crocheting, crafting, and watching videos, which allow her to escape into another world—if only for a moment.

Please help me

Today, I'm not only dealing with my daughter's illness, but also with the enormous costs associated with her treatment.

Every bit of support gives us a little breathing room and hope that this difficult journey might become just a little bit easier.
