Slight weakness, more frequent infections, small signals that in the eyes of adults could pass for typical childhood ailments. However, there was something disturbing about it, something was wrong. the tests ordered gave the answer: bone marrow aplasia. A rare, unpredictable and very dangerous disease. The production of what is most important - life - ceased in his body. The marrow went silent, as if it had lost its plan for survival. From that moment on, every hour was a struggle for survival.

Childhood transferred to hospital room

Alexander was immediately taken to the "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw. The diagnosis forced immediate treatment. There was no time to delay.
A hospital bed replaced the bed in the children's room. Everyday life was filled with tests, sterile gowns, disinfectants and isolation. A Broviac, a thin tube leading directly into a vein through which drugs are administered , appeared in his body . Alexander had to learn a new rhythm in which there is no room for chance. Life is at stake here!

A quiet hero in a small body

His body is fragile, tires quickly and is difficult to defend. However, inside him still lives a boy who refuses to give up. Although he is sometimes tired, he does not show weakness. He smiles even though he sometimes lacks strength. He does not complain. He doesn't scream. He grits his teeth and does what needs to be done day after day. He is not just a child. He's a little warrior whose everyday life requires adult courage.
