Update
Alan has completed treatment in Poland. Ahead of him is the next stage in the United States!
Behind Alan are already difficult MRIs and the removal of the central puncture. This is an extremely important , but also symbolic moment in his months-long battle with the disease. Although the treatment stage in Poland has come to an end, this does not mean that hospital visits and medical challenges are a thing of the past. In June, the boy will face two more check-ups to assess his health status. If the results are good, the continuation of treatment, which will increase his chances of a full recovery, will take place in the United States. Alan today needs both medical care and emotional support to give him the strength to continue his fight. Let's help Alan return to a world where dreams, not disease, determine tomorrow. May 28, 2025Alan is currently undergoing immunotherapy
Two more cycles of treatment remain to be completed in Poland. Imaging results are pending, which will show whether the body has responded to the treatment and whether the cancerous lesions have been completely removed. If remission is confirmed, a trip to the United States for treatment against recurrence is planned. This is a stage to increase the chances of permanently beating the disease and protecting against its return. Further support is needed to be able to continue on this path. October 31, 2024
Explore the history of
In the shadows of childhood joy lurked illness
Alanek had celebrated his fourth birthday just a few days earlier. These were the last days of carefree days before the arrival of a reality that shattered the entire order of their world. A reality full of incomprehensible words, hospital rooms, painful procedures and constant fear that invaded the lives of a four-year-old boy and his loved ones.
When a small bump appeared on his face near the arch of his eyebrow in late October 2023, no one suspected it was the first sign of a disease that was already spreading through his tiny body. The parents, trusting everyday life and common sense, thought the boy had simply been hit. Unfortunately, with each passing day the tumor grew, and with it anxiety, which in time turned into fear when tests began to reveal the truth.
Painful diagnosis
Alanek, admitted to the maxillofacial surgery department, was referred to "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw the very next day.
At the clinic, his parents heard a diagnosis that broke their world. Stage IV neuroblastoma - a malignant, aggressive cancer with metastases.
The disease started in the adrenal gland and then spread to the orbit, maxillary sinus and marrow.
Doctors had to act immediately. Intensive chemotherapy was started.
Doses of hope that come at a price
Therapy was an extremely difficult experience for Alank, which consumed all of his childish strength. The petite body struggled to endure successive infusions of chemotherapy. Ahead of Alan are the next stages of intensive treatment, which will require strength not only from him, but also from his entire family. He still awaits radiation therapy and immunotherapy.
Any help is proof of support
Along with the treatment, costs are rising, which are far beyond the family's budget. Alanek's parents are focused on what is most important - fighting for his life. However, without support, they will not be able to bear the burden of all expenses.
It is your help that gives them the strength to focus on treatment rather than on how to get funds for the next visit, transportation or specialized diet.
