"I no longer have any motivation because every day begins with a struggle with my own body," says Agata.
Everyday life on hold

First, she experienced nystagmus and persistent headaches. The symptoms, which appeared without warning in October 2023, began to recur with increasing frequency and intensity, preventing Agata from functioning normally.
A month later, a biopsy was performed, and the histopathological examination results brought the answer she had feared.

Inverted papilloma, a rare tumor of the nasal cavity and sinuses, was diagnosed. Despite its benign nature , it is known for its local aggressiveness and tendency to recur . It can grow deep into the surrounding tissues and destroy the structures it encounters on its way.
It was not a simple diagnosis. Behind this word lay the need for long observation, repeated tests, and constant vigilance, because any mistake or delay could mean a return of the disease or its development into a life-threatening condition.
Among the medical terms , Agata heard one thing above all else: that the road back to her old life would be neither quick nor easy.

Treatment on the edge of expectation

Agata did not undergo surgery or radiation therapy. Treatment began in Kielce, but she was eventually referred to Warsaw, which only deepened her sense of confusion in a system where it is difficult to find a clear course of action.
She is currently under the supervision of the head and neck oncology clinic in Kielce.
Each date separated by months of waiting becomes a source of anxiety for her, because Agata now lives in a state of suspended time, filled only with uncertainty.

The burden of comorbidities

For years, her body has been struggling with many conditions: insulin-dependent diabetes, hypotension, hypothyroidism, bipolar disorder, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Each of these diseases has its own consequences, but together they create a daily life full of pain, numbness, loss of energy, and a growing sense of helplessness.
Dizziness, numbness, and painful stinging in her face occur more and more often, robbing her of the ability to function without assistance.

Daily challenges

Agata is currently at home, and her son helps her with her daily activities. The burden of supporting the family rests on her husband, who in this difficult situation tries to balance work with caring for his wife. Although they are separated by distance, his presence remains palpable. He works abroad, supports her every day from afar, and when he returns to the country, he is there where he is most needed.

Agata spends her days in the company of her 86-year-old mother. They are together. They prepare meals together, watch television, and share peaceful moments of the day.

Agata has not been working for a long time because her health does not allow it. Her social contacts have been reduced to a minimum. The symptoms of bipolar disorder intensify when the pain and weakness last for weeks and the future becomes increasingly difficult to grasp.

Lack of motivation, general weakness, dizziness, facial tingling, and numbness are part of everyday life, where every movement, every decision, and every trip outside the house requires enormous effort.

Agata increasingly says that her body has become an obstacle rather than a tool for living.Agata is asking for help because the costs of treatment and care are rising faster than she can afford.

Agata's everyday life has become a burden that she cannot bear without the support of people ready to lend her a helping hand in her moment of greatest weakness.
