Warning signs from the body
Toward the end of last year, I began to feel that my body was sending me worrying signals. First, I felt a tightness in my chest. Then I started having increasing difficulty swallowing. Even a simple meal became a challenge. Over time, I was no longer able to eat normally; I could only consume liquid foods.
On top of that, I started experiencing severe upper abdominal pain and weight loss. I felt my strength waning with each passing week, but I still didn't know what I was actually fighting.
Diagnosis
From the very beginning, the doctors knew that something serious was going on. A journey filled with tests, consultations, and waiting for results began. Each passing day brought more questions than answers.
Finally, I heard the diagnosis that brought my world to a halt. Stage IV large B-cell lymphoma, with metastases. A few words that changed everything. Suddenly, my plans, my daily life, and my sense of security took a back seat.
Treatment and Side Effects
After the diagnosis, the fight for recovery began. I was approved for chemotherapy. I’ll be having more tests soon to see how my body has responded to the treatment.
Since undergoing chemotherapy, I’ve been experiencing leg pain that makes it difficult to go about my daily life. I’ve lost my hair, and my eyesight has deteriorated. When I look in the mirror, I can see just how much the disease and treatment have changed my life. I lack energy, and even the simplest tasks require an effort that once seemed completely natural.
Difficult everyday life
Today I’m at home, away from my usual work routine. My illness has kept me in a place where time flows differently. It’s marked by a series of doctor’s appointments, tests, and days of recovery after treatment.
I'm not alone in this. I get tremendous support from my family, who are there for me every day. They help me with the simplest things, give me strength when I'm feeling low, and remind me that I don't have to go through this alone.
Fighting the Disease
Reality is difficult in another way as well. The costs associated with treatment are very high and are becoming an increasingly heavy burden with each passing month.
That is why I am asking for your support. Every bit of help means the world to me and brings me closer to the day when I will be able to recover and return to the life I had before my illness.
