Accident

Our daughter Elena underwent a thorough medical examination following a car accident we had in November 2024. The examination was supposed to be just a routine check-up, to confirm that, aside from the shock, nothing serious had happened. But then we heard words that shattered our world.

The doctors found a tumor in Elena’s left kidney. A tumor of unknown origin. In an instant, the world that had seemed so stable just a moment ago turned into uncertainty, unanswered questions, and overwhelming fear for our daughter’s life.

After further tests, we received the diagnosis: Wilms' tumor, stage III.

Operations

Just a moment earlier, we were worried about an accident, and suddenly we had to face our little girl’s cancer. Hospitals, treatment, fear, and uncertainty became our daily reality.

In mid-November 2024, Elena underwent her first major surgery: half of her left kidney was removed. At the time, we still believed that this was the hardest part of the battle. In January 2026, it became necessary to remove the remaining part of her left kidney. Another surgery, more fear, and more tears that we tried to hide from our little girl.

Chemotherapy and radiation therapy

Today, Elena is undergoing chemotherapy combined with radiation therapy. Despite the pain, fatigue, and moments that break every parent’s heart, our daughter still manages to smile.

She is currently in the hospital. Our lives have been divided between keeping vigil at our daughter’s bedside, sleepless nights, and quiet conversations in the hospital hallway. We take turns caring for her, staying by her side every day and every night.

Elena's dad had to quit his job. His job required him to travel a lot, but right now there's only one thing that matters: being there for his daughter when she needs him most.

Artist

Elena is an artist. Even within the confines of a hospital, she manages to find color. She loves to paint, as if every stroke were her own way of telling the story of a world that continues to amaze her despite everything she has been through. Elena also loves to dance. It is her way of expressing herself.

Our little girl is a sensitive, creative girl who never stops seeing beauty, even when reality is tough.

Support

We are asking for your support in our daily fight to keep our daughter Elena healthy. Every bit of help means the world to us. It allows us to focus on what matters most: her treatment, being there for Elena, and giving her a sense of security.

Thank you for all your support, kind words, and gestures, which help us keep moving forward on this difficult journey.

I don't have much myself—I'm only a little older than her—but I'd like to donate whatever I can. I wish her a speedy recovery and lots of artistic projects.
