For a long time, Anna believed that everything would be all right. When she felt a small lump in her breast in December 2024, she quickly went for tests and sought answers. After further consultations, she was even told that the lump didn’t look like cancer and that a follow-up in a few months would suffice. Unfortunately, the reality turned out to be completely different. Today, Anna is battling multifocal breast cancer, undergoing grueling treatment, and trying to find the strength to carry on despite the ongoing hardships in her life.

The diagnosis came a few months later

At first, everything seemed to indicate that the situation was under control. Following a spectral mammogram, she was advised only to undergo observation and a follow-up examination in six months. It wasn’t until further tests conducted in November 2025 that it became clear there were now four tumors. A biopsy confirmed malignant breast cancer. For Anna, it was a huge shock. Until then, she had tried to believe that nothing serious was happening, and suddenly the fight for her health and life began.

Surgery and very intensive treatment

On January 29, 2026, Anna underwent a mastectomy of her right breast. During the operation, however, it turned out that the cancer had already metastasized to the lymph nodes. The doctors had to remove all the lymph nodes on the right side.

Anna is currently undergoing very intensive treatment, which includes four cycles of red chemotherapy, twelve cycles of white chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and further hormone therapy. The treatment is taking a heavy toll on her body. In April 2026, she had to be hospitalized due to febrile neutropenia and agranulocytosis—a serious complication of the treatment.

The illness struck at the most difficult time of my life

Anna runs her own business, but her illness has practically robbed her of the ability to work and function normally in her professional life. Every month of treatment brings new financial difficulties and a loss of clients. The daily mental struggle is also a huge burden. Anna admits that the hardest part is simply getting up in the morning with a positive attitude and finding the strength to face another day.

To make matters worse, all of this is happening at an extremely difficult time. In January 2025, Anna lost her mother, and a few months later, her sister as well. Her cancer diagnosis came at a time of profound grief and emotional pain. She is currently being supported by her sons, who are helping her with daily life and getting through her treatment.

She would like to get at least a little bit of herself back

The cancer has affected not only Anna’s health, but also her sense of femininity and her quality of life. Following her mastectomy, she dreams of having her breast reconstructed and regaining at least some of her former sense of normalcy.

The funds raised will be used, among other things, to cover the cost of specialized undergarments, compression sleeves, travel expenses for treatment, private doctor’s visits, blood tests, medications, supplements, a wig, and the purchase of a breast prosthesis. Anna’s greatest dream is also to undergo surgery that will restore her comfort and self-confidence.

Before her illness, she loved gardening and dancing. Today, her greatest wish is to be able to look to the future with hope once again. We ask for your support for Anna. Every bit of help gives her a better chance at a more comfortable treatment process, regaining her strength, and continuing her fight for her health and a normal life.
