Doctor's Office

In January, my whole life up to that point changed drastically. I noticed that my right breast looked different than usual. I was really scared. Something told me I had to make an appointment with a doctor right away.

I remember every minute of that visit. First the conversation, then the exam. Silence fell in the office, and the doctor’s expression grew increasingly serious. After a moment, I heard the words that made the world stop for a moment: “There are changes visible in both breasts.”

Fear set in immediately. Hundreds of unanswered questions swirled through his mind.

Metastases

I didn't have to wait long for the diagnosis. Bilateral synchronous breast cancers. In the left breast, an invasive lobular carcinoma; in the right, an invasive ductal carcinoma.

From that moment on, my life turned into a constant struggle. Endless doctor’s visits, tests, and first red and then white chemotherapy became part of my daily routine. It seemed like I was doing everything I could to beat the disease, when another blow struck—metastases appeared in my brain. The chemotherapy had to be stopped.

That was one of the hardest moments; today, I'm also battling three brain tumors.

The daily struggle

Before I got sick, I was an active person. I enjoyed everyday life; I loved reading books and making things with my own hands. Today, I’ve had to put many of those simple joys on hold. My biggest dream has become regaining my health.

I have a loving family by my side who give me strength every day. My children are very scared. I can see their fear and concern, which is why I talk to them a lot. I want them to know that I’m not giving up.

Support

Unfortunately, due to my illness, I am unable to work. At the same time, my medical expenses are constantly rising, and I am unable to cover them, which is why I am asking for your help with all my heart. Every bit of support brings me closer to recovery and allows me to focus entirely on getting better.
