Allan has a brain tumor that cannot be surgically removed. The tumor is located in the brainstem, and any change, any growth of the tumor, and any new symptom could pose a serious threat. Treatment in Barcelona offers Allan a chance, but the costs are beyond our means. We need your help.

A tumor that makes it hard to breathe

Our struggle began innocently enough. At first, there were frequent infections, one doctor’s visit after another, one hospital after another, and growing anxiety. For a long time, we didn’t know what was really wrong with Allan. Finally, we received the diagnosis: a brain tumor, a glioma.

The tumor is located in the brainstem. It’s one of the most difficult and dangerous locations. The tumor is inoperable, and its growth could be life-threatening for Allan. We live from test to test, from MRI to MRI, with one thought in mind: will the results be stable this time?

Barcelona gave us hope

Allan's treatment requires extreme precision. Any mistake could have serious consequences. That's why I started looking for help abroad as well.

At the clinic in Barcelona, the doctors recommended targeted therapy and continued treatment. It is there that Allan undergoes follow-up MRI scans, oncological and neurosurgical consultations, and receives medication that gives him a chance to halt the progression of the disease.

Thanks to the treatment, Allan is doing better. His vision has improved, and he is no longer taking the anti-epileptic medications that had been putting a heavy strain on his body for years. Currently, the tumor is stable, but this stability does not mean the battle is over.

The treatment will take years, and we need to be prepared for that

Allan’s treatment in Barcelona has been extended and is expected to last two years. The cost of the targeted therapy alone is over 600,000 zlotys! On top of that, there are regular checkups, consultations, travel, stays abroad, rehabilitation, and daily care in Poland.

The total costs are enormous.

I’m raising two children on my own, and I can’t handle this burden by myself.

Every month of treatment brings new bills and the same fear: will we be able to raise the funds so that Allan can continue his therapy?

The illness is sapping Allan's strength, but my little boy keeps fighting

The tumor is affecting Allan's daily life. He has developed problems with swallowing and speech, weakness, headaches, exhaustion, and even difficulty keeping his head upright. He has also been diagnosed with dysphagia, or difficulty swallowing food and liquids. This is very dangerous because it increases the risk of choking and aspiration pneumonia.

Allan needs regular speech-language therapy and electrostimulation treatments to strengthen the muscles of his face, throat, and larynx. The cost of the therapy alone is approximately 26,000 zlotys per month.

Mild heart rhythm disturbances have also developed, which may be a complication of cancer treatment. Every new symptom is frightening, because with a brainstem tumor, nothing can be taken lightly.

Please help my little boy

Allan’s childhood is still ahead of him, yet he already knows what it’s like to fear another test. He knows what pain is and what it’s like to have his life dictated by illness. But he’s not giving up—he’s incredibly strong. He fights every day, and I’ll do everything I can to help him in that fight. I promised him that.

But I can’t do this alone. Please help Allan continue his treatment. Every penny really counts. Help save Allan’s life.
