Tiny body. A great enemy

Wojtus was diagnosed with NF1 - neurofibromatosis type 1. It's a genetic disease that attacked one of the most important parts of his childhood world - the optic nerves.
A glioma grew inhis head. A cancer that didn't wait. It did not retreat. It gave no time for tears.
In January 2023, surgery was required. Its consequences were devastating - the tumor took away Wojtusi's sight. A few months later, as a result of complications, he stopped walking. The boy is only 5 years old.

Nothing hurts more than a fight you can't see on the outside

And just when it seemed the suffering was over....

In the summer of 2023, it turned out that this was not all. The tumor began to grow again. Aggressive chemotherapy was started, which devastated the body day after day.
Wojtek spends the following days in the "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw. He can't see the world, he can't move, but he can still hear his mother's voice and feel her hand.

Dramatic health condition is only half the problem

Today everything needs to be reorganized, as the disease has forced it. The main problem is the boy's health, but parents already have to think about Wojtek's return home. A home that is safe and adapted to the darkness. Every day is another bill. And the costs will grow. Taking care of Wojtek will require providing constant care of another person - support for the parents. Every zloty is support for the family, which is not giving up.
