Peter is fighting a recurrence of the disease

This is known as targeted chemotherapy, aimed at minimizing the recurrence of the disease and possible metastasis.

Unfortunately, the drug was very expensive, and it was not reimbursed. It was a huge financial challenge, moreover, during the treatment there were side effects affecting the weakened condition of the body. However, today - looking back - the year seems to have passed very quickly.

Happily, our Warrior can return to full strength. At this point Peter would like to thank the Cancer Fighters Foundation for its help and for setting up the collection, as well as all the Donors who have supported him financially during this difficult time. As he says, it meant a lot to him, both the financial support he received, without which it would be very difficult to continue treatment, and all the warm words of encouragement and wishes for recovery passed on.

Now Peter faces a continuation of tests, checks and rehabilitation. He still faces surgery to remove the vascular port soon. After more than two years of treatment, Piotr remains under constant medical control at the IMiD in Warsaw - he goes for regular check-ups, has ongoing tests and at the same time still needs supplements and annual rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
