Update
"If the treatment goes according to plan, we will start the second protocol. And if the improvement continues, we will move on to maintenance treatment," says the mother, with noticeable caution in her voice.
Because it is a moment suspended between cautious optimism and the awareness of how long the road ahead still is.
Kacper is currently completing the fourth cycle of his first chemotherapy protocol. This is a stage where every result matters, and doctors are closely monitoring his body's response. The decision on further treatment depends on this, which is why every day brings tension and quiet hope.
He still has more cycles, checkups, and tests ahead of him. There are still many unknowns, but there is also growing evidence that Kacper's fight, day by day, gives him a real chance of defeating the disease.
This journey still requires support. Thank you for being there! October 10, 2025

Everyday life full of movement and laughter
Kacper is a several-year-old boy on the autism spectrum. Energetic, curious about the world, fascinated by his surroundings, although it is difficult to assign him a single passion. He in no way resembled a child in whose body a fatal disease is developing.
Signals that are easy to ignore
Kacper got sick often - too often. Each infection ended with an antibiotic, and immunity seemed to disappear month after month. In February, the parents decided to look for answers and did general blood tests. The results were worrisome, but inconclusive. The family doctor recommended repeating them after a few weeks at a specialized clinic in Wroclaw. Life, however, wrote its own script. In April, Kacper broke his arm, and the planned check-up had to be postponed.
Silence of results that turned into alarm
In May, the tests were repeated. This time they left no illusions - something serious was happening to Kacper's body. Blood parameters had deteriorated dramatically. The boy was immediately referred to a hospital in Klodzko, where an in-depth diagnosis was initiated. On May 20 he was transported by ambulance to the "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw.
It was there that the words were spoken that turned the family's world upside down: acute lymphoblastic leukemia. A blood disease - violent, insidious, able to develop silently, almost imperceptibly. As if it had always been there, just waiting for the moment to take away childhood and peace.
Days filled with treatment
Just a few days after the diagnosis, treatment began. Kacper underwent blood and platelet transfusions. Chemotherapy was introduced, and with it steroids. For a body so small, so recently still playing on the playground, this is a huge burden. This is just the beginning. He has months and even years of treatment ahead of him. Hospital rooms, cycles of chemo, check-ups and uncertainty embedded in everyday life. All this in the hope that one day he will hear: "it's all over now."
A road that can only be traveled together
Currently, Kacper spends his days with his mother in the hospital. The family does what they can to make sure he doesn't lack anything - neither strength, faith nor care. Oncology treatment, however, is not just medicine. It's also the commute, the cost of stay, diet, supplementation, hygiene products, which disappear faster than they can be replenished.
After completing the hardest stage of treatment, Kacper will go home only for a while - then back to the hospital again, more cycles and check-ups. Every zloty translates into concrete help on this long and difficult road.
