A year of intensive treatment
Over the past year, Helenka has undergone very intensive treatment:After completing radiation therapy and a series of follow-up tests, I felt a long-awaited sense of relief. The results indicated that the therapy was producing the expected effects. and Helenka is really getting better. The doctors were preparing her for the final stage of treatment, which was to close this most difficult chapter.
- eight cycles of chemotherapy
- five cycles of chemoimmunotherapy
- extensive surgery to remove the adrenal gland along with residual tumor mass
- extremely demanding mega-chemistry
- autologous bone marrow transplant
Progression of the primary disease
A routine MRI scan performed just before immunotherapy showed disturbing changes. At the Children's Health Center, a craniotomy and biopsy were necessary. The eagerly awaited test results confirmed the doctors' suspicions. The change in the central nervous system was a progression of the primary disease. After more than a year of struggle, everything starts anew.
Helenka is undergoing chemoimmunotherapy again, this time in Gdańsk. This treatment puts an enormous strain on her small body and robs her of her newly regained strength. The days are becoming more difficult, and the effects of the therapy are affecting her more severely than before.Non-reimbursable medical examinations abroad
The parents remain hopeful that the current therapy will finally bring about a breakthrough. Thanks to the funds raised, they can also seek answers where the Polish healthcare system currently falls short. Non-refundable tests abroad are an opportunity to discover the cause of disease resistance. and to take further steps that could save her life. This is a time full of anxiety and anticipation. Helenka desperately needs support that will allow her to continue her diagnosis and treatment without delay. We ask for your continued support. Every gesture brings this brave girl closer to a safer tomorrow. December 4, 2025

A three-year-old girl was diagnosed with a malignant tumor - sympathetic embryonal neuroblastoma, also known as neuroblastoma.
It is one of the most insidious and challenging forms of childhood cancer, and overcoming it involves aggressive, long-term treatment.
The treatment process is extremely intensive and includes multi-stage chemotherapy, autologous bone marrow transplant, surgery, radiation therapy and immunotherapy. It's a huge challenge for a small body, but Helena is showing remarkable strength of spirit. She calls the disease "an evil virus" and faces it bravely every day. Despite the hardships of treatment, she still remains a vivacious, joyful little girl who enjoys playing and infects everyone around her with her smile.
Although treatment for the cancer itself is reimbursed, the additional costs are a significant burden on the family. Commuting to hospitals in Warsaw, Bydgoszcz and Krakow, the need for hygiene products, the consumption of which has increased significantly, supplementation to support Helena's body in the fight against the disease, and the rehabilitation that will be necessary after the end of treatment, generate enormous expenses.
Your support can help ease the burden on the family and provide Helena with the best possible conditions to fight the disease. Any help, no matter how small, will bring Helena closer to the longed-for recovery and childhood that every three-year-old girl should experience - full of joy, fun and carefree.
