Update
New research brings dramatic news❗
A recent CT scan of the chest, abdomen and pelvis, performed on Sept. 9, showed the following. The disease continues to progress. The liver tumor, which measured 141 x 120 mm in August, grew to 165 x 120 mm in a matter of weeks. That's not all. Within the liver numerous metastatic foci have appeared, the largest of which reaches as much as 59 mm. The scale and pace of these changes are clear to doctors: The cancer is not receding and requires further intensive therapy.Metastasis to bones and organs
The CT image also revealed spinal involvement - metastasis to the Th12 vertebra and lumbar lesions. The cancer is no longer confined to the liver, but is increasingly bold in attacking other structures, weakening Gregory's body and robbing him of his dexterity. This news was particularly painful for the family, as it means a growing risk of fractures and increased pain.Involved lungs and lymph nodes
The CT scan also showed enlarged lymph nodes in the mediastinum and lung hollows, as well as changes in the lungs that may be consistent with metastasis. Each new result confirms that the disease is ruthless and strikes in ever new places, leaving little breathing room literally and figuratively.Hope despite difficulties
Despite the dramatic test results, doctors are not closing the road. Grzegorz has been qualified for another course of chemotherapy, which will begin as early as September 30. This means that there is still hope of stopping the progress of the disease, slowing its dynamics and giving Grzegorz the time he so desperately needs. September 10, 2025
Explore the history of
Pain and drama that brought normalcy to a halt in an instant
Gregory's life flowed with a peaceful rhythm - work, passions, family. This ordinariness, so precious in its simplicity, was a source of happiness. What more to want if the everyday gives a sense of security? The answer is always the same: health. Everything changed that night, when a piercing pain snapped him out of sleep. His family immediately drove him to the hospital, where words were spoken that tore the hearts of those closest to him: malignant cancer of the liver and bile ducts. The tumor measured 165 by 120 millimeters - too large, too dangerous to think about surgery.
Forces that continue to decline
Treatment began with immunotherapy, the second dose of which Grzegorz has already had.
But cancer is not the only opponent. Spinal disease and thrombosis, a liver-related complication, rob him of his residual strength. Every day becomes a battlefield - he can't sit for long periods of time, he regularly receives injections, and even a simple meal is sometimes a source of anxiety. Will the pain come again? Will the body allow him to survive another day?
Lost work, stopped passions
Cancer had derailed what had previously given life meaning. He had been driving express transport for six years, traversing Europe, loving the job and feeling like a fish in the water. He was also passionate about off-road - quad bike crossings through the toughest terrain, competitions where adrenaline mixed with joy. Today, all that had to stop. Instead of trails and competition - hospital corridors, instead of plans - uncertainty.
Daily life with the disease
Today, Gregory is staying at home. The treatment and its effects have taken away his ability to work and placed a number of restrictions on his daily life. He is supported by his family, but the burden of the disease continues to grow. Every day is a test of perseverance, a struggle for a moment to breathe and for a little respite from the pain.
