Update
Emilka is getting closer to the end of her treatment. Cardiac and dental support needed❗.
Emilka is getting closer to the end of her treatment, but it's still not the finish line. The girl finished chemotherapy on October 9, 2023, and since then she has been under the constant care of doctors, who monitor her health every three months. Unfortunately, check-ups have revealed side effects of the treatment, which she now has to deal with. Chemotherapy has caused serious dental problems. prompt dental intervention was necessary. Emilka also remains under cardiac care, as the intensive treatment has left a mark in this area as well. This is a stage where it is no longer only strength that is needed, but also perseverance and resources to continue specialized consultations. While her toughest days may be behind her, she still needs help so that she can recover peacefully and without new complications. July 30, 2024

It wasn't a bite, it was cancer!
In January 2023, Emilka reported to her parents that she "had something in her mouth." A small redness on the inside of her left cheek looked like a bite. However, time passed and the swelling did not disappear. Only when Dad felt a hard bump under his fingers did concern turn into action. The primary care doctor did not delay. A referral to oral surgery was made immediately. There the first decision was made: it must be removed. It is necessary to examine.
Diagnosis
On February 23, the tumor was removed. The extracted fragment was submitted for analysis. A few days later, the diagnosis was made: soft tissue malignant neoplasm. In March, Emilka sat in the treatment chair for the first time. She clutched her mother's hand tightly, as if only this embrace could protect her from what was to come. From that moment on, life turned into a series of calendar blocks: chemo, radiation therapy, tests. And no end date.
A port he fears more than disease
Emilka is a child with eyes wide open to the world. She is very brave. She is afraid of only one thing: inserting a needle into the port.
