Deterioration in health
Unfortunately, recently My health has deteriorated significantly. In the span of a month, doctors saved my life twice. The second time, my heart was literally just a few hours away from stopping.Brain metastases
The chemotherapy I was receiving alongside immunotherapy (FOLFOX4) stopped working. As a result, the cancer metastasized to my brain. On January 28, 2026, I underwent surgery. The larger tumor was removed, while the smaller one underwent a week of radiation therapy.A sudden fight for survival
On February 15, I started vomiting practically nonstop. The next day, it happened again. On February 17, my dad drove me to the family doctor. Actually, he practically had to carry me there, because due to exhaustion and breathing difficulties, I was no longer able to walk on my own. The doctor immediately called an ambulance. At the emergency room, it turned out that I had fluid in my pericardium and needed immediate surgery. The doctor told me straight out that I had arrived at the hospital at the very last possible moment. During the procedure to treat cardiac tamponade, as much as a liter of bloody fluid was drained—fluid that was hindering the heart’s function and causing vomiting and shortness of breath. I had a chest drain in place for the next two days. Even though it’s already April, the surgical wounds are still healing.
Further treatment and side effects
When my condition allowed me to return to the oncology ward, IThe doctors decided to change the chemotherapy regimen. Unfortunately, my body is having a very hard time tolerating it. I’ve been experiencing a number of side effects. It’s a whole list of symptoms that I have to learn to live with all over again and find ways to cope with every single day.Waiting for the results
I am currently waiting for the results of my CT scan. The scan will show whether the radiation therapy to my head was sufficient. This is a very difficult time for me, filled with uncertainty and waiting for the doctors' next decisions. April 16, 2026The fundraiser for Dagmara has begun❗
Today we begin the fight for the health and life of a wonderful woman and mother. Since March, she has been struggling with esophageal cancer with metastasis to the lymph nodes. Behind her are already more than 20 cycles of intensive treatment, which gives hope, but also exhausts and costs more than she can bear alone. Dagmara is raising a 5-year-old daughter and tries to be there for her every day - despite the pain, fatigue and fear for tomorrow. This fundraiser is to help cover the cost of medicines, commuting, specialized food and daily living during therapy. Every zloty, every message shared, every kind word is real help. August 6, 2025

A diagnosis that turned lives upside down
Since March 2024, Dagmara has been fighting a difficult battle with esophageal cancer, which has already managed to give metastasis to the lymph nodes. Her first symptoms - shortness of breath when eating - initially seemed harmless. Unfortunately, the diagnosis turned out to be brutal and turned her life into a constant struggle for each new day.
More than 20 cycles of treatment - tremendous strength and determination
Since then, her daily life has been subordinated to treatment - intensive chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Behind her already more than 20 cycles. Dagmara's body is responding well to the treatment, and the disease is slowly receding. This gives hope, but also involves a huge physical, emotional and financial effort.
Mom who wants to be close to her daughter despite her illness
Dagmara lives with her 5-year-old daughter, whom she loves more than life. Unfortunately, due to the disease, she no longer has the strength to play together, and daily functioning has become very difficult. Cancer has excluded her from work and severely limited her family life. Taking care of the child alone and struggling with the disease every day makes it increasingly difficult for her to carry the burden.
Daily medical costs that cannot be borne alone
Every day is a battle against pain, fatigue and side effects of treatment. It's also a huge cost - commuting to treatment, buying medicines, daily expenses. That's why this collection was created - to support Dagmara during this most difficult time and help her make it to the end of her treatment.
