Little Bruno continues to face an extremely difficult opponent - an inoperable tumor caused by a very rare type of cancer. In the case of our Warrior, unfortunately, chemotherapy is not possible, so experimental therapy continues, which aims to absorb the cancerous lesion as much as possible. Up to a certain point this was successful and the tumor shrank, but for about a year and a half it has remained unchanged. Our charge is under the constant care of doctors from a clinic in Szczecin, where the decision was made not to change the current treatment. The boy's mother is currently waiting for a consultation on a potential operation in the future. When the diagnosis was made, the information was given that the tumor was impossible to remove, but the loving parent always believes to the very end in a positive outcome. The long-term treatment has also brought a lot of side effects, such as speech therapy problems. As a result, Bruno will need additional classes to catch up with his personal development. Explore the history of

The family doctor ordered an ultrasound, after which they suspected a hemangioma, a harmless lesion that should absorb in time.

However, the hematoma was not absorbing and a visit to a vascular surgeon was necessary, who ordered further tests including an MRI.

An MRI scan revealed a tumor. Immediately our protégé was biopsied and a slice was taken for histopathological examination. Its result was shocking - a vascular tumor of the soft and connective tissues in the neck with an intermediate degree of malignancy, a very rare tumor for which there is no direct treatment with chemotherapy, plus it is inoperable. Experimental treatment was proposed to absorb the tumor lesion as much as possible.

The therapy used has caused the tumor to shrink by half. Currently, consultations are underway as to what further treatment should look like and whether surgery is possible or a change of drug will be necessary.

Ongoing treatment has caused a decline in immunity making it impossible for our protégé to attend kindergarten

The funds raised during the fundraiser will be used to cover the cost of ongoing treatment, travel to the clinic, private visits to specialists, fighting the side effects of long-term treatment, and subsequent rehabilitation. Private developmental-logopedic classes
