This was accompanied by spikes in blood pressure, its significant elevation as well as deterioration of vision.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the first consultation with a doctor was by teleportation. The family doctor referred Beata to a neurologist, who in turn decided to hospitalize her in the general ward. There, a series of tests were performed: a CT scan, an MRI with contrast, an abdominal ultrasound and a chest X-ray. The MRI showed the presence of a tumor located in the frontal lobe area.

Immediate neurosurgery was required, during which the tumor was removed in its entirety. The collected material was sent for histopathological examination. The diagnosis was devastating - grade IV malignant glioma. The fight against the cancer began with radiation therapy, followed by six months of chemotherapy in pills. After the end of treatment, Beata underwent regular check-ups - every two months - which did not show a recurrence of the disease for a long time. Unfortunately, in December 2024, a follow-up MRI revealed a new lesion in a location close to that of the original tumor.

Another difficult battle has begun. The planned radiation therapy could not be carried out due to the unfavorable location of the lesion. Specialized treatment is now planned in Olsztyn - one-time precision radiation treatment using the modern ZAP-X device.

The funds raised will be used to cover the cost of medical treatment, travel to medical facilities, private medical consultations, rehabilitation, properly selected diet and supplementation.
