A beginning that broke the silence of joy

The birth of Antos was a moment of joy for the family, which unfortunately did not last very long. The endocrinologist noticed a disturbing detail. The boy's head seemed out of proportion to the rest of his body. This was the first sign that something was disturbing the harmony of the new life. Soon tests at the Marciniak Hospital in Wroclaw exposed the dramatic truth. A brain tumor seven centimeters in diameter was developing in the tiny head.

Surgeons' struggle against time

There was not a moment to lose. Antoś was taken to Katowice, where surgeons made a heroic rescue attempt. They managed to remove 90% of the lesion.

However, the disease did not go away - the remaining part of the tumor began to grow back, reminding that the boy's life would henceforth be inscribed in a rhythm of struggle and hope. Intensive chemotherapy was started, the first doses of which fell on the fragile body like an unbearable weight.

Hospital instead of childhood

Antoś received his first two doses of chemotherapy in Katowice. Then, in order to bring him at least a little closer to his family home, his parents moved the treatment to the "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw. There, under the guidance of doctors, his daily battle continues.

The power of love stronger than pain

The disease has taken away Antoś's family's peace and carefree life, but it hasn't taken away what is most precious to them - boundless love. It is she who keeps their spirits up every day, gives them courage and makes room for tenderness, closeness and hope even among the hospital walls. It is thanks to her that Antoś, though so small, is surrounded by a world full of warmth and care. A gift of the heart - a light in the darkness.
