The pain wouldn't let me wait any longer.
In November 2025, severe pain appeared. Initially difficult to pinpoint and explain unequivocally, it became more acute with each passing day. Tests revealed a lesion measuring approximately ten centimeters in the left lobe of the lung.
Biopsies performed in November and December 2025 led to a diagnosis of Ewing's tumor. From that moment on , Andrzej's everyday life began to revolve around his illness.
Treatment sets new boundaries
Radiotherapy was used. The treatment is ongoing, and each day brings fatigue and weakness, forcing Andrzej to live at a pace dictated by his body's capabilities.
He is currently at home, but his functioning has been significantly limited. He has been banned from working and lifting heavy objects. Activities that he used to perform without thinking now require caution and planning.
The most difficult thing is the presence of pain.
Pain has become a constant feature of my day. It requires regular treatment and limits my daily activities, forcing me to rest frequently and adapt my plans to how I feel at any given moment.
This experience does not only affect the body. It changes one's sense of independence, affects one's well-being, and forces one to accept a pace of life that Andrzej did not choose.
Things put off until later
Until recently, Andrzej enjoyed traveling by car. The road gave him a sense of freedom and space. Today, due to his treatment and medication, driving is no longer possible. This is one of many changes that the disease has brought to his life without warning.
Why support matters
Cancer treatment and daily functioning with the disease involve costs that gradually increase. The funds raised will be used to pay for medication, transportation to medical facilities, and rehabilitation to support recovery.
Not everything is subject to change. However, it is still possible to make this time less stressful for Andrzej.
