Explore the history of

Constant anxiety

In 2024, Bogusława contracted COVID-19, which led to complications in the form of a lung abscess. Her health gradually deteriorated until she developed severe kidney failure, requiring hospitalization and five dialysis sessions. In the following months, she experienced recurrent dehydration, the cause of which remained unexplained for a long time.

Start of treatment

The diagnosis came as a surprise: multiple myeloma. The disease, which had been developing unnoticed for a long time, suddenly revealed itself. Shortly thereafter, Bogusława was referred to a clinic in Katowice. That is where her most difficult journey began: treatment. Chemotherapy and steroid therapy became her new reality.

In February 2025, I underwent an autologous bone marrow transplant. It was a moment filled with tension, hope, and fear all at once. It was a success. The transplant took.

You have to find the strength

Treatment is currently ongoing. Bogusława remains under the constant care of specialists, takes oral chemotherapy, and regularly attends follow-up appointments.

In addition, he is participating in clinical trials. Detailed bone marrow tests are performed every three months, and the results are analyzed at a specialized center in Wrocław.

Health and physical stress

Cancer coexists with other medical conditions. Bogusława struggles with asthma, hypertension, and mental health issues, including severe depression and anxiety. It is a silent and demanding adversary that can rob everyday life of its lightness and dim one’s inner light. Additionally, she is undergoing diagnostic testing for liver issues, and an adrenal tumor is being monitored. All of this places a significant burden on her body and affects the course of her treatment.

A quiet and painful daily life

Today, Bogusława’s world has shrunk to the confines of her apartment. That is where her daily life unfolds: quiet, demanding, and marked by fatigue. Regular trips to Katowice for treatment and medical exams require a great deal of commitment and careful planning on the part of the entire family. The illness and long-term treatment have completely changed the family’s daily life. Bogusława is unable to work, and her health requires constant care.

For their loved ones, this means having to balance work responsibilities with providing care and arranging medical treatment. The depression, which had already been present, has worsened.

Despite her illness, Bogusława still finds time for the things that are close to her heart: spending time with her family, reading books, watching movies, and talking with her loved ones.

Today, we humbly ask for your support in Bogusława’s treatment. Even a small contribution can make her daily life during treatment a little easier.
