Update

We are fighting for Nastka's liver! Unreimbursed drug to the rescue❗. Anastasiia continues her fight for recovery! Her treatment is scheduled for at least 1.5 more years. Recently, nearly two years after the original diagnosis, she had another CT scan, which fortunately showed no new cancerous lesions. However, this does not mean that Nastka will have an uphill battle from now on - the young Warrior has suffered very serious liver damage as a result of her treatment, and as a result she will have to take a drug to help her liver regenerate. Unfortunately, it is not reimbursed, and the girl is forced to take it for the rest of her life. A recent follow-up visit to the "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw turned out to bring another blow to Anastasia's family. This is because they learned that they will no longer be able to use the services of an endocrinologist at the clinic. They are left to search for a specialist on their own, which generates additional costs, stress and complications. Nastka, along with her loving parents, are very much asking you to support their fight for a full recovery! Together we can help the brave girl in this unfair duel! August 12, 2024

Explore the history of

Her story began in Ukraine - the girl was a long-awaited child, surrounded by a loving family.

Anastasia's dad was in Poland, where he was working. In January 2020, the family's life changed in the blink of an eye - the girl's mood suddenly deteriorated, severe abdominal pain and vomiting appeared. Shortly thereafter, on February 7, 2020, the diagnosis was made - cancer: Wilms' tumor of the right kidney.

On February 14, 2020, the first of two planned preoperative chemotherapy treatments was administered. Unfortunately, Anastasiia endured it very badly - a brain infarction occurred. The second preoperative chemotherapy was no longer given for fear of the consequences. In mid-March 2020, our Warrior Woman underwent surgery to remove her right kidney along with the tumor. She then began receiving post-operative chemotherapy, which she tolerated well and continued until the end of November 2020. In addition, she also received radiation therapy.

She completed her oncology treatment in December 2020. Issue

it would seem that life is returning to normal and Anastasiia, along with her loving family, can start enjoying everyday life again. However, this was not the end of the young Ukrainian's problems. In February 2022, there was a huge escalation in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and as a result, difficulties began to arise in accessing medicines - including those needed to combat complications from chemotherapy, which significantly affected the girl's liver function.

Although Anastasia's entire family lives in Ukraine on a daily basis, in March 2022 (along with her mother) she joined her dad, who has been in Poland for a long time. Since then, they have been living in Radwanice, near Wroclaw, and the girl comes for check-ups at the "Cape of Hope" in Wroclaw. She is very homesick, but is getting better and better at finding her way in a new reality in a new country. Anastasiia attends school, where she has made new friends, and spends her free time with her friends. She is also not worried about the lack of one kidney, much more troublesome in her daily life are her liver problems.

We are committed to getting Anastasia back in full shape, so we are asking you to support a collection that will cover the cost of purchasing medication to support the Warrior's liver function and allow her to participate in rehabilitation classes.
