Alek and his uneven fight against the tumor!

His expressions are casual and to the point, and time in his company slips away unawares.

He is fascinated by history, has a private collection of vinyl records, and trained ballroom dancing for many years. He is a true man of many talents!

Alek's story of fighting the disease began in the summer of 2022. During a carefree vacation, he began to suffer from persistent abdominal pains. At first they did not interfere with his normal functioning, but over time his condition began to deteriorate severely.

On July 25, 2022, the pain was already so unbearable that Alek was hospitalized. The imaging results were striking. A gigantic tumor was located in the abdomen of the slender boy. It became obvious that the situation was very serious. Our Warrior was transported to Wroclaw, where he was taken to the "Cape of Hope". After more tests, the diagnosis was made - it was Ewing's tumor, a stage IV malignant tumor of bone and soft tissues. The life of Alek's entire family was turned upside down, and things went downhill rapidly from that moment on.

Alek began receiving chemotherapy, thanks to which the huge tumor, weighing as much as 5 kilograms, began to shrink. The goal of the treatment was to reduce the volume of the tumor so that it could be safely excised. Its growth caused it to almost fuse with other organs. However, the diagnosis did not break Alek himself! With a smile and positive energy, he bravely fought the cancer. His mother, Beata, put aside professional activity to support her son in this uneven fight. The boy's dad and invaluable grandmother are also a huge support in the battle for Alek's health.

The chemotherapy worked positively enough for Alek to be operated on. The tumor excision procedure was performed in late October 2022. Although it was possible to cut out the vast majority of the tumor, 100 percent removal was not possible due to its extensive location and fusion with organs.

Alek continues to receive chemotherapy, designed to completely eradicate the cancer from his body. He has undergone a series of as many as 30 courses of radiation since December 2022. His immunity is severely compromised, making it impossible to lead an active and social gathering-filled life. Unfortunately, this causes even such a cheerful and optimistic boy to experience more difficult moments and a decline in form.

Therefore, we ask you to support Alek in the continued fight against the disease - beating cancer is the first stage. The next is to return to full health, and this may take up to several years.
