Adam vs. malignant neoplasm

Despite abdominal pain, nausea, and general weakness, the family doctor did not consider these complaints to be anything of concern.

Other conclusions were reached after a private visit - after a visual inspection, the doctor concluded with certainty that something was wrong and referred Adam to a hospital in Gorzow Wielkopolski, where tests such as ultrasound, CT scan and morphology were performed. After reading the results, a decision was made to perform immediate surgery.

During the surgery, abscesses were removed and drainage of the peritoneal cavity was performed. Adam was able to return home about three weeks after the operation. The first check-up detected nothing of concern. At the next visit, just a few days later, doctors detected a nodule in the rectum as a result of a detailed examination.

Adam was referred to a hospital in Szczecin, where he underwent further surgery - more abscesses were removed, peritoneal drainage was performed and a stoma emerged. A colonoscopy was also performed and a section of the tumor was taken for histopathological examination. The result was unequivocal - malignant neoplasm of the rectum.
