Update
Disease picture remains stable
In the latest CT study performed in late August and described in September 2025 The submandibular salivary gland neoplasm was confirmed to still be present. The lesion in the right sublingual space remains stable. The infiltrate covers the mandibular and muscular areas, and small satellite lesions are visible in the subcutaneous tissue.Lungs under control
Multiple metastases are still present in both lungs, but the image shows no new foci. Stabilization does not mean withdrawal of the disease, but it does provide a breather in the face of a long-term struggle.Other organs unchanged
The study did not visualize new foci in the liver, kidneys, adrenal glands, spleen or pancreas. Bone structures also remain without signs of destruction. This is good news, although the need for further inspections remains inevitable.Life in limbo
Although the results have been described as stable, the disease itself is still present and does not let you forget its strength. Every day is a wait for more tests and more decisions by doctors. Yuliya persists in this fight for herself and her children, who are her greatest strength. October 2, 2025
Explore the history of
Years in the shadow of illness
The tumor first appeared when she was just 15 years old. An inconspicuous thickening on the right side of her neck, it grew larger over time , eventually reaching the size of a walnut. Over the following years, Yuliya underwent multiple surgeries - in Ukraine, Belarus, then Poland. Radiation therapy, more treatments, hopes and recurrences. The disease never went away for long; it always returned, accompanying her for years to come.
The current struggle
As of October 2023, Yuliya is undergoing systematic chemotherapy with a regimen of Paclitaxel + Carboplatin.
She undergoes another cycle every week and a follow-up CT scan every three months. Despite treatment, the cancer has spread.
Today Yuliya is facing a recurrence of submandibular salivary gland and multiple metastases in the lungs - the current face of her disease.
The burden of everyday life
Weekly chemotherapy, and the following two days in which the body refuses to obey, makes it extremely difficult for Yuliya to find steady work. Thus, the struggle against the disease is intertwined with the struggle for basic needs. However, the woman keeps trying, because life doesn't slow down, and there are bills to pay after all.
The mother and her strength
Yuliya is divorced. She lives in Gdansk, Poland, together with her eight-year-old son. Her 14-year-old daughter has settled in Poland with her dad. Her children are her greatest motivation to endure successive cycles of chemotherapy, to undertake work despite devastation, and to persist against all odds.
Hope in our help
The funds needed are not just expensive therapies or experimental treatments, but the basics - life, daily life, the ability to pay for a roof over one's head. Help for Yuliya is not only a gesture of solidarity with a sick person, but a chance for her children not to lose their sense of security in the face of their beloved mother's ongoing battle.
