Let's help Patrick win against the disease

The situation was brought under control with the use of appropriate medication, but it turned out that this was just the beginning.

When Patrick was 2 years old, he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. For the next few years, the life of the boy and his family was subordinated to frequent visits to the hospital, but doctors still did not know what Patrick was additionally struggling with. It was not until March 2023 that the genetic disease - chronic granulomatous disease - was discovered, because of which the boy had to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

Losing his hair and being confined to the hospital, hurt the boy a lot. He closed himself off and broke off contact with his friends. Despite his illness and frequent hospital visits, Patrick is an active and cheerful boy. He is passionate about soccer, but due to his illness he has so far had limited opportunities to devote himself fully to his hobby.

Despite what he has to deal with on a daily basis, Patrick does not give up. He is a true fighter and is longing to be able to go out with his friends, return to school and live a normal life.

There is still a long hospital stay ahead for the boy and his mother, after which the family will face even more expenses than before - so they are very much asking for support. Any help, however small, counts.
