Explore the history of

It was supposed to be an ordinary vacation.

In the summer of 2025, fifteen-year-old Oskar complained of leg and head pain. Tests showed nothing alarming. The bruises on his legs were explained away as the result of physical activity, which was natural for a boy who liked to move around and couldn't sit still.
The new school year was supposed to be the beginning of technical college, a step towards adulthood and independence.

The morning that changed the course of history

On September 1, during the start of the school year, Oskar fainted. A blood count was performed at the clinic. The results were alarming.
On the same day, he was admitted to a hematology hospital in Warsaw. A bone marrow biopsy ended the speculation.
The diagnosis was acute lymphoblastic leukemia type B. Chemotherapy began the next day.

Treatment has become part of everyday life

Since September, Oskar has been undergoing intensive, multi-stage treatment. Five cycles of chemotherapy have resulted in complications such as fever and fungal infections. His immune system requires special protection, and any drop in blood parameters requires immediate medical attention. The hospital has become a place of frequent returns. When his condition allows, treatment is carried out on an outpatient basis. When neutropenic fever occurs, immediate hospitalization and antibiotic therapy are necessary.
Between one return and the next, life tries to settle down again at home.

A suitcase in the car, vigilance in everyday life

Parents have learned to function in a state of constant readiness.
The suitcase is always packed. Every morning begins with checking whether Oskar's condition will allow him to stay at home. Fear is no longer an event. It has become the backdrop to everyday life.

The family learns a new balance

The treatment requires one parent to be constantly present with their son, numerous hospital stays, and special care at home. Their professional opportunities have been limited, and their family life has been subordinated to therapy.

At the same time , Oskar's sister is preparing for her final exams. Her parents are doing everything they can to ensure that she can enter adulthood with a sense of security and peace of mind. It is an effort shared by everyone, although each person carries it in their own way.

Growing up relocated to another place

Oskar is pursuing an individual course of study, striving to pass his subjects despite his treatment. The disease has put his everyday life on hold, but it has not taken away his desire to develop and make plans for the future.

Before his diagnosis, his world revolved around motocross and fishing. Movement, space, and the silence by the water were an important part of his life.
Today, these images remain a point of reference to which he wants to return.

Perseverance requires more than courage

Oskar's story is not one of grand gestures. It unfolds in the vigilance of mornings, on the way to the hospital, in attempts to maintain normality where normality is no longer a given.
In such circumstances, every day spent together takes on a weight and significance that no one had to name before.
