After an MRI scan, Octavian's parents heard the diagnosis - a brain tumor.
It was then that the carefree life of our charge and his family came to an end. The next day Octavian underwent a seven-hour surgery to remove the tumor.
After a histopathological examination, it turned out to be fourth-degree medulloblastoma. This brave Warrior underwent very long treatment with chemotherapy and radiation therapy (as many as 33 radiation treatments). Unfortunately, the side effects from the treatment proved to be enormous.
At the moment, Octavian is struggling with bilateral hearing loss, food allergies, hypothyroidism and short stature. He is also undergoing a series of endocrinology tests so that he can take growth hormone.
